Let’s explore some of the benefits of Modo Dental treatment:
  • We take more precise measurements and create better-fitting crowns, bridges, and dentures. This reduces the need for follow-up visits to make adjustments or corrections.

Dental Implantology Parts and pieces

Restoration
The restorative piece of the implant is what looks, feels, and functions as a tooth. This can be a single tooth restoration known as an implant supported crown, a multi-tooth restoration known as an implant supported bridge, or a full arch restoration known as an All-on-X (4, 5, 6) or implant supported denture. Most restorations are made of high quality porcelain for optimum strength, stability, and aesthetics.
Abutment
An abutment functions like a post, connecting the implant screw to the porcelain restoration that functions like a natural tooth.
Implant
The actual implant, a titanium screw that is inserted in place of a tooth root and becomes integrated and accepted into the bone that supports it. This healing integration process can take anywhere from 3-6 months for maximum stability. This serves as the base for the restoration whether it's a single tooth, bridge, or full arch prosthesis known as an implant supported denture.
Bone Graft
Bone grafting is the foundation for any implant procedure. This procedure is commonly used in cases of bone loss or low bone density in the jawbone. The procedure will often be performed prior to dental implant placement in cases where the bone volume is insufficient for proper anchoring of the dental implant. A dental bone graft adds volume and density to the jaw in areas that experience bone loss.

Meet our advanced technology tools

  • A Cone-beam CT provides a three-dimensional image of the jawbone, teeth, and oral anatomy determining the exact position of teeth and their root. CBCT imaging also identifies oral conditions which are not detectable by regular X-ray screenings. Digital radiographs emit up to 70 percent less radiation than traditional X-rays and are more environmentally friendly. Your CBCT will ensure accuracy in designing and placing your dental implants.

01
Pre-Operative Planning
This involves taking a 3D scan of the patient’s mouth using a digital scanner and a CBCT 3D imaging of the patient’s bone. These are then used to create a detailed 3D virtual model of the patient’s mouth and bone on a computer. This model is used to plan the exact placement of the dental implants.
02
Surgical Procedure
Once the pre-operative plan is complete, the patient is ready for the surgical procedure. The surgeon will use the 3D model to guide them in placing the dental implants in the jawbone in the most accurate position based on the preplanning.
Post-Operative Care
After the dental implants are placed, the patient will need to be monitored closely to ensure proper healing and integration with the jawbone.
03
Restoration
Once the pre-operative plan is complete, the patient is ready for the surgical procedure. The surgeon will use the 3D model to guide them in placing the dental implants in the jawbone in the most accurate position based on the preplanning.
Implant Maintenance
Your dentist will recommend a homecare routine to ensure optimal oral health, and a smile that lasts a lifetime. You’ll continue with your regular checkups and cleanings as prescribed.
